Mm, I've got the Takarazuka book. I've always kind of regretted not being able to get a bit more into the whole Takarazuka thing, actually, but to get hold of much takes quantities of money I do not possess! And really, it is pretty obviously an important link when one is thinking about manga aesthetics.
Swan has been on my list for a while, yeah! Ditto Nausicaä and Sailor Moon - the latter I suspect isn't likely to be one of my absolute favorites but I'm a. interested enough in this stuff to want to read it because it's obviously so significant, and b. willing to be surprised. From what I've read about it and seen of it it does seem to do interesting stuff. I'll have to have a look and see if I can get hold of any of it. (Oh god, my German is pathetic. We have Rose of Versailles in German, because Val can kind of read it, but if I want to read that one I need to track down the French edition instead. French I could stumble through. With a dictionary.)
