I've always been a bit fascinated by hair colors; when I was younger, I was deeply confused and a bit sad that the rest of my family had black hair while mine was boring brown.

But Sweden really is "blond" if you compare internationally. Paris and New York especially, when I got there it was an eye-opening moment to see how many dark-haired and darker skinned persons they were. The subway is a great place to get a proper "on average" feel for this, I've noticed, because it's a mix of people and they're all packed pretty tightly
In NY, the shock was especially great, since the TV impressions are so very much more overwhelmingly white

<Unfortunately the last one on the list is, on a political level, probably completely fair. SWEDEN: the would-be guiding moral light of everyone ever. Naturally not hindered by the fact that arms manufacture is a mainstay of the national economy.</i>

Argh, I know. So many of my friends hold this view (though, to be fair, many of them are against weapons export) and I do too without wanting it, even though I have been blessed with a bit of outsiders-view from my family
