P.S. Shouldn't there be a place on DW more for anime/manga discussion than for posting fic/art/etc? Or a place for talking about all the random old shojo stuff that is really interesting but not the kind of thing people write mountains of fic about?

Or does such a thing exist?

Because TBH at this point in my dubious internet career I'm way more interested in discussion and essays (however rough or formal or essentially ridiculous in premise) than anything else.

*thoughtful* Well, you could post links to your discussions in the newsletter--the mod of that often links to meta-ish posts--or I bet you could post to anime_manga itself, since any traffic is good traffic.

Mm, that is an idea. On the other hand it would be nice if there was a community to actually encourage discussion too. But then there probably wouldn't be very many people who'd take part anyway. Oh well!

If it doesn't fit, try searching old_man_of_hoys Masterlist of Animanga Communities on Dreamwidth. Maybe you'll find something there.

But you're totally welcome to post to anime_manga - I'd love to see more meta/discussion there.
