Yeah, and we're so going to go and watch Sailor Moon. And read the manga.

QUESTION: What are the femslash fandoms that people are around in right now? Or things with potential? I do know a bunch, but Valborg wants to know if there's anything she's missed that she might be interested in. I agree.

(Especially as a lot of the ones I do know about are american TV fandoms, and I am so completely out of touch with them, partly because I'm actually no good at sitting down and watching long episodes unless someone makes me. So the chances I've missed other ones are really high.)

We're friendly with many different kinds of media.

Help?

Sailor Moon has lots of femslash. But it's a really old fandom so I don't know how active it is!

XDD You're watching the anime, Liz?

The manga is much better, I think, but the anime has some fun moments. >___> If you don't need to know the entire storyline (which is...not that important), you can start watching with the third season. Which is when my favorite characters show up.

But then the first two seasons are relatively short, anyway.

Seasons 3 and 5 are the best ones.

Yes, and the anime is pretty funny. It's sort of an easy, entertaining thing to watch =)

Hey, of course you need to watch Sailor Moon! It's lovely - I am extra fond of the manga, but the anime is better for femslash (except between Venus and Mars who are ttly my manga-otp)

Other than that I, uh, have no idea. I think I've heard about some serious shipping in Umineko no naku koro ni (weird, gory, but pretty supernatural mystery anime). Oh! And the Tohou girls, they're growing in popularity among my RL friends. Lots of witches and supernatural characters and an almost completely fan-made canon. It's based on a "bullet hell" shoot'em'up indie game. The big problem is that the fandom is very male, so you get more 4chan style yuri than (what I thin) you prefer.

Utena is the only non-Sailor Moon one that comes to mind, though that's old and I'm sure you've both already heard of it, too S:
