Tiitu Takalo - I ringen ("In the ring") / Finnish title: Kehä

Finnish lesbian comic translated to Swedish. With girls who are boxers! Be still, my heart. It's a pretty simple story but it felt right, in a conflicted teenage kind of way - I'm hoping to find some more of her stuff to read soon (think there is at least one other volume in Swedish).

Her lines are so clean and her work is amazing! <3 The English blurbs sound intriguing and I wish I could readher stuff. ^^

Ahhhh, I have some of her stuff (Tyhmä Tyttö & some of the Irtoparta) at home! Apparently I either haven't read v. much or have forgotten all of it since I didn't recognize her name. ^^;; Thanks for the reminder!!

I'm a bad Finnish queer who was completely unaware of this awesome artist, so thank you for bringing her to my attention! Must start looking into her stuff.

Ooh, Takalo rocks so much! I love her drawing and.. pretty much everything she's done. I don't think most of if has been tarnslated, though. Sadly.
