Oy, oy. Yeah, I basically have a really hard time with nerd spaces, and hah, that one time I tried to play a queer - not comedy gay, goddamn queer - character in game and the GM kept actively working to undermine their identity, hoorah. And the sexual harrassment. OMG.
I do wonder if I actually will find a group I can be properly comfortable in. Of course there are other nerds who I would get on great with, but finding them is one hell of a trick.
