So! I'll post this here since all my primary sailor moon enablers read this journal - I'm almost done with Sailor Moon S (5 episodes to go, which at current speed will probably be gone by tomorrow). S is obviously by far the best so far. Outer senshi, oh yeah.

But the thing is, I don't know how I will cope without them, and I hear they're not really in the next season & that lots of it is about chibiusa. Who is... fine, but don't think I can deal with too much of her in one go. So uh, I might have to skim it a bit. If anyone knows what bits are good off the top of their head, I'd be v. grateful!

Yeah I am just trying to get to more Haruka as fast as possible. Don't even pretend you're surprised.

*grins* The outers are way more fun, yeah. The start of Stars features them, and it's huge fun watching Haruka get all "step off" at Seiya. For SS, though... um. Yeah. Not so much. Also with some seriously freaky rape-metaphors, with the first half villains of SS.

I can't remember what happens in Supers S that is good. Um. There's a gay guy, but he's not as cool as the General dudes, or as cool as the Flower Dude from the R movie (you should watch). >__> In rewatches I just skip SuperS altogether.

I realize you can't do that because you need the whole thing, but... Aladokfd

I tend to just re-watch the first half of the SuperS season, because the Amazon Trio villains are so bloody weird. And I think the entire circus are among the most, uh, blatantly sexulized/sexually metaphorical villains in Sailor Moon ever, which is saying something... but it's three dudes hanging around in a bar, deciding whom they are going to assault. Based on level of attractiveness (old women vs. young women vs. males of all ages) and it's just - wut? What does this mean? Did you really intend this to be read as so rapey as it comes off, Ikuhara et. al.?

Except for the villains, most of the season is dull until you get to the very end. Unless you really like Chibiusa... I suggest watching the final two Trio episodes + anything that looks interesting off Wikipedia and the Amazoness Quartett I barely remember so, uhm, good luck?

Ep 138 ( "Driven Dreamer" / "Drive to Heaven! Love Riding on the Car of Dreams") contains one of the most lulzy disguises ever, ep 140 ("Clothes Call" / "Love Those Minis! The Fashionable Soldiers") is subtextually absolutely about a gay couple, and ep 141 ("Double Trouble" / "Storm of Love! Minako's Grand Two-Timing Plan") contains a frankly hilarious sequence with Minako. 143, 148, 149, 150 seem plot-relevant.

Also, see if you can get down the special : "Special Episode #2" — "Return of Haruka and Michiru! The Ghostly Puppet Show"" which I actually hasn't seen, but it appears to belong to this season...?
